I am supposed to start a new job this week, but last night while playing softball I took a 40 mile an hour ball to the forehead above my left eye. Today it is still swollen and my eyelids are purple and I have abrassions from the stiching on the ball. How can I make my appearnce less startling for my job, without running the risk of causing an infection in the abrassion?

Why are there all these different sleestack people who have the same avatar and similar (yet not always identical) opinions? Is it a club? A new religion? Or just one strange dude who has nothing better to do and got 18 different IDs to get around the usual asking and answering limits and go at it 24 hours a day?

I want to start getting out of debt so we can afford some stuff for ourselves. I feel like I need to pay these debts off and then think about what we need in our home. I mean we have food and clothes and all but, just the things that needs replacements like furniture. How do I go about getting out of debt quick but not paying everything at once? I really don't want to deal with a debt counselor.

My parents have been divorced for 16 years. I do not get along with my dad's wife. Definition evil stepmother. My mom is dating. How do I only invite my parents? I don't want either one of them to bring a guest. If they do it may be a Jerry Spinger wedding. they were beatin him up cuz he was white, it was 3 guys against one n they were callin him all these racist names. me n my friend saw it n my friend was like, "do u think we should help out that white kid?" n i was like, "nah we shouldnt get involved wit that, man." n my friend said, "if that was u, u'd want sumbody to help out rite?" n i said, "just ignore it, he'll be fine." but now i feel pretty bad cuz its not the kid's fault that hes white. do u think i should of done sumthin? or was i rite about not gettin involved?

THIS IS THE BEST LAWYER STORY OF THE YEAR, DECADE AND PROBABLYTHE CENTURY.


A Charlotte, North Carolina lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars and then insured them against fire, among other things.

Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed claim against the insurance company.

In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost "in a series of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion. The lawyer sued and WON!

In delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated nevertheless, that the lawyer "held a policy from the co mpany in which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire, without defining what is considered to be unacceptable fire" and was obligated to pay the claim.

Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss of the cigars lost in the "fires".
NOW FOR THE BEST PART!’
After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!!
With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine.

This is a true story and was the First Place winner in the recent Criminal Lawyers Award Contest. ONLY IN AMERICA!

I would like to convert it to use the series 2 format as well as use my DirecTV account. If you know, the series 2 TiVo can the networking capabilities and such. I have read about it in the internet, but I am affraid to corrupt the programming. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I feel inferior to people who are not middle eastern. Are people turned off by jews or muslims, or people who look like them? I feel that some people don't have an open mind for middle eastern people. I feel like a stereotype. People don't see the real me.
