Here is what happened: Adam and Eve lived a billion years. But only once they ate the forbidden fruit, Death appeared to humans and their actual life time began.

Think deep to understand this!

So why couldn't have dinosaurs' existed? Isn't Bible is so simple!

The only reason the question is important (as opposed to "Do Adam and Eve have bellybuttons?") is that it throws in stark relief the question of how literal the Bible is, especially in the Creation account (Genesis). Literalists will have problems with any evidence of against a 6-day creation period, or of an earth only 40,000 years old (or some other interesting calculation).

The literal interpretation of the Bible is almost a necessity for those who only recognize individual interpretation as an authority. If dynamic interpretation were allowed, then they would have to recognize the need for an interpretive authority other than just themselves. For those who subject themselves to such an authority (i.e. Catholics and Orthodox), this problem disappears. The Bible can be allegorical in certain instances, and it is interpreted for us by the Church, to whom Jesus gave the authority. Evolution and God can coexist! Science isn't opposed to God, He invented it! Reasoning isn't opposed to God, we were given reason to find a path to Him (but not without grace).

nicely, some creationists does not have a medical historic past and learn some discoveries as fake and deceptive because of the fact they don't comprehend the medical technique. yet i think of that telling that a footprint became carved is disrespectful and negates reality. And believing that dinosaurs co-existed with human beings isn't understanding the info that dinosaurs extinguished million years earlier the human ever existed. possibly the impression of television like the Flintstones and a few video clips could bring about that concept. I do have self belief in creation, yet I do have an open innovations. i think of that the 6 days in the Bible are rather a symbolic timing, and that they do no longer inevitably ability days of 24 hr. possibly day a million lasted for quite a few million years, or in effortless terms a million 2d. that is actual for days 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 besides. an afternoon in the Bible ability a volume of time the place something specific got here approximately. possibly the discoveries made those days could lead on us to comprehend how this technique began and make up our minds to a greater respectful way of existence. cutting-edge DNA findings ascertain that all of us come from one lady: permit or no longer it relatively is Eve or "mitochondrial Eve". yet all of us got here from one lady. And that the human race is barely one, and there is not any distinction between Asians, Africans, Europeans, blacks, whites, yellows, as all of us proportion the comparable DNA sequence.

Some people think Job 41:1, NIV, is talking about dinosaurs. "Can you pull in the leviathan with a fishhook or tie down his tongue with a rope?” Or Job 40:15, “Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox.“ There are many other verses in the Bible about dragons that are considered references about dinosaurs, as well. Most Bible scholars suggest that the descriptions in Job are of crocodiles or of hippopotamus. Both lived in the Near East in those days. It is tempting to think that dragons are a faded memory of dinosaurs, but we cannot be sure. We can only speculate.

In Genesis 6:12 we find the answer. “And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.” Satan, the being who rebelled against God, cannot create, but he can change. The entrance of sin into the world allowed Satan to corrupt humans and other living creatures. Now we have leaves changed to thorns, teeth changed to poison fangs, genes changed into viruses and useful bacteria into disease producers. Satan corrupted some of the reptiles God originally created into the bizarre creatures we call dinosaurs. God chose not to save them at the time of the Flood. Perhaps God also saw that feeble post-flood humans would not be able to control such large animals. Thus, we suggest that God preserved the air-breathing, land animals, except the very large animals and the corrupted ones.

The topic of dinosaurs in the Bible is part of a larger ongoing debate within the Christian community over the age of the earth, the proper interpretation of Genesis, and how to interpret the physical evidences we find all around us. Those who believe in an older age for the earth tend to agree that the Bible does not mention dinosaurs, because according to their paradigm, dinosaurs died out millions of years before the first man ever walked the earth. The men who wrote the Bible down couldn’t have seen dinosaurs alive.

Those who believe in a younger age for the earth tend to agree that the Bible does mention dinosaurs though it never actually uses the word “dinosaur.” Instead, it uses the Hebrew word tanniyn (pronounced tan-neen; Strong’s #08577). Tanniyn is translated a few different ways in our English Bibles; sometimes it’s “sea monster,” sometimes it’s “serpent.” It is most commonly translated “dragon.” The tanniyn appear to have been some sort of giant reptile. These creatures are mentioned nearly thirty times in the Old Testament and are found both on land and in the water.

In addition to mentioning these giant reptiles in general nearly thirty times throughout the Old Testament, the Bible describes a couple of creatures in such a way that some scholars believe the writers may have been describing dinosaurs. Behemoth is said to be the mightiest of all God’s creatures, a giant whose tail is likened to a cedar tree (Job 40:15ff). Some scholars have tried to identify Behemoth as either an elephant or a hippopotamus. Others point out that elephants and hippopotamuses have very thin tails, nothing comparable to a cedar tree. Dinosaurs like the Brachiosaurus and the Diplodocus on the other had huge tails which one could easily compare to a cedar tree.

Nearly every ancient civilization has some sort of art depicting giant reptilian creatures. Petroglyphs, artifacts and even little clay figurines found in North America resemble modern depictions of dinosaurs. Rock carvings in South America depict men riding Diplodocus-like creatures and, amazingly, bear the familiar images of Triceratops-, Pterodactyl- and Tyrannosaurus Rex-like creatures. Roman mosaics, Mayan pottery and Babylonian city walls all testify to man’s trans-cultural, geographically-unbounded fascination with these creatures. Sober accounts like those of Marco Polo’s Il Milione mingle with fantastic tales of treasure-hoarding beasts. Modern day reports of sightings persist though they are usually treated with overwhelming skepticism.

In addition to the substantial amount of anthropic and historical evidences for the coexistence of dinosaur and man, there are other physical evidences, like the fossilized footprints of humans and dinosaurs found together at places in North America and West-Central Asia.

So, are there dinosaurs in the Bible? The matter is far from settled. It depends on how you interpret the available evidences and how you view the world around you. Here at GotQuestions.org we believe in a young earth interpretation and accept that dinosaurs and man coexisted. We believe that dinosaurs died out sometime after the Flood due to a combination of dramatic environmental shifts and the fact that they were relentlessly hunted to extinction by man.

dinosaurs are mentioned in the bible i just cant remember the exact spot but they do talk of beast's out side of a town with tails as big as cedar tree's. and the reason for the dino's to die off was the flood.the fact is you only find fossils buried in dirt which was caused by the washing away of land during the flood.(Noah 40 day's and 40 night's) please keep in mind this carbon dating that man created was in fact created by an imperfect man and we can not rely on this or for that matter anything else mankind invents

Prior to Genesis – Dinosaurs

I believe that God created upon this earth PRIOR TO Genesis 1:1-31, 2:1-3.

I believe God destroyed all prior creation (Gen.1:2) to bring forth man created in God's likeness (Gen.1:26), with an UNBROKEN lineage beginning with Adam.

You know, that makes sense on some levels.

But on the other hand, God had already given the command to be fruitful and multiply. Without death in the world for a billion years, animals would have overpopulated the place horribly.

THE WORD DINOSAURS WAS" INVENTED" IN THE 1800'S
WHATEVER THEY WERE CALLED BACK THEN WAS DEFINATELY NOT" DINOSAURS" THAT ADAM AND EVE LIVED TO BE A BILLIONS YEARS OLD IS PURE NONSENSE!!!
FORBIDDEN FRUIT??? MORE RELIGIOUS NONSENSE!!!
THINK "DEEP" TO UNDERSTAND THAT!!!!
THAT THESE "GREAT CREATURES" DID EXIST IS BASED ON
SCIENTIFIC FACT, THAT ADAM AND EVE LIVED TO BE A BILLION YEARS, THERE SEEMS TO BE NO "BONES" ABOUT
IT!!!
