as far as festivals are concernced, Summerfest is the largest gathering of people in the world. Ten days of unadulterated music that sees over a million people annually. Nothing like a 10 day booze fest in Wisconsin.

Probably a religious gathering at Varanasi in India - I forget its name, but they have many million people there.

Protesters during the illegal immgrant times earlier this year. The city of LA Had streets just clogged with protestors, you should look on google images. hope this helps :o)
