I have been friends with a husband and wife. I have always been a little bit closer to the husband.. and now they are divorsed. I have now become the best of friends with "him", and we get along great. We've even talked about what each other is looking for and we agree on almost everything. The "ex" wife now has a boyfriend so she isn't a concern. The thing is, he's asking me to hook him up with some of my girl friends... but it makes my heart hurt.. because I want to be the one he's with. I have a budgie that is almost two years old. He recently strated this very high pitched screech that I have never heard before and he does it only when my husband or I are out of his sight range. We don't even have to leave the room and he starts. It is very annoying and since we live in an apartment I am worried people will start to complain. We can hear him out by our car when we are leaving and we live on the third floor. He has never done this before and it is driving us insane, we have been ingnoring him and only coming back into his sight when he stops screeching but it is so incessant sometimes it takes up to an hour before we can go back in the room. It is really driving us insane and I dont want to give him away, but he is making it very uncomfortable for us to be at home and straightening up or doing ANYTHING that doesnt involve sitting in the living room with him and watching TV. PLEASE HELP!!!

Mother is 68 years old divorced, and has had cancer breast cancer, which spread to stomach area for 10 years. She has been on Chemotherapy. I took her, my girlfriend and her mother to a restaurant. We were talking and I quoted something a professor had said in college, my mother said " YOUR MARKS WERE NO GOOD" No one said anything. The next day I asked why she said that, and she denied saying it, and yelled at me. Can her saying such a strange thing be caused by cancer, or Chemo? Also she does not know what my marks were.

4) Against old rivals and one of the best team, i did extremely well and we won the tournament it was soooooo cool, we were all so happy and proud!

5) When I didnt save a single goal because i was being lazy and careless and we lost 6-0 :((((((((

6) I had many injuries but i'd say the worse was when i thought i was ACTUALLy going to DIE: i was running, an opponents elbow hit me in the chest, i fell on the ground on my back, choked den stopped breathing!!!!!!

It's a piecewise polynomial function:

f(x) = x^2 + 1 if x <= 1 and
f(x) = 2x if x > 1

It's a parabola that turns into a line. It doesn't have any gaps or corners. The limit of f(x) as x approaches 1 is 2, and the limit of f'(x) as x approaches 1 is 2.

This was a problem on a test, but I my calculus teacher took points off because she says that the function is not differentiable at x = 1. I need to formally prove that this function is differentiable at x = 1, so I can get those points back.
