1)British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain said "Armed conflict between nations is a nightmare to me...." His successor, Prime Minister Winston Churchill took office in 1940. Churchchill said, "...our policy...is to wage war, by sea, land, and air, with all our might...."

A. How do Chamberlain's views of war differ from Churchill's?

B. Would Churchill have agreed with the policy of appeasement? Explain why or why not in one or two sentences. Be sure to define appeasement in your answer.

+ Lion, It looks like you are in a world of hurt if you don't know the answer to this right off the top of your head.

Here is the easy of it:
Chamberlain believed in appeasement at all cost to avoid war.
Churchill believed in only being pushed soo far and then taking action.
Chamberlain's view is that perhaps if you surrender they will allow you to continue to exist.
Churchill's view on war was live free or die trying.
Churchill would not have agreed with appeasement (in fact he did not right from the start and stated this) Appeasement is the giving of concessions to an adversary under the belief that if they get their way they will stop taking more.
Churchill's view on appeasement in a "nut shell" is that close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. (Nuclear devices in our day and age)
You need to study and read some lessons quick or you will be far far behind. No more Sunday nights away from the books. 4 or 5 hours reading the study materials should help you.

B Churchill would not have agreed with appeasement because he was a man of action and knew that if they went to war, the product from such a war would bring prosperity to the people
