I have been friends with a husband and wife. I have always been a little bit closer to the husband.. and now they are divorsed. I have now become the best of friends with "him", and we get along great. We've even talked about what each other is looking for and we agree on almost everything. The "ex" wife now has a boyfriend so she isn't a concern. The thing is, he's asking me to hook him up with some of my girl friends... but it makes my heart hurt.. because I want to be the one he's with. How do I get him to realize that we can be together with out tooting my own horn.

Just tell him you like him. Being honest is the best thing and will get you far.

try running the idea by him casually -- like ask him if he has ever thought of you two being more than friends. try pulling it in a casaul setting like brunch with some drinks. the key is casual here. you are not obligated to hook him up with anyone else. ultimately you can't change his mind if he doesn't think of you as anything more than a friend. friends are good though. you can never have enough friends. perhaps hes not mature enough to realize you can be friends and more. thats his problem and you can't solve it for him.

Honesty is the best solution. And if it doesnt work out then he is not the one for you. You should go about life wanting things but not trying to get whatever you want. If it is not meant to be then it is not meant to be, so Im trying to push you to tell him that you want to be with him! try it! .....if nothing works then keep lookin hun.

honesty is best--when people are free to date after a relationship ends oftentimes women will find another guy--while men will want to experiment and play the field for a while----however you said you are close and on the same page---so why dont you ask him how he feels about you and he and a chance at a relationship?--------

ask him what he is looking for in a woman - it may be that he is waiting for you to make a move by asking about your friends....tell him you know someone that would be perfect for him...personally....tell him how you feel before he gives up and finds someone else , then you will be sorry you didnt say what you felt when you had the chance
