i was born in a muslim family.
i'm secular in thoughts and deeds.
i'm not fond of sharia law or the veil.
i drink and eat pork.
i do all the normal things as the typical english man does.
yet i'm sick of being stopped and searched.
i have a fair complexion.
despite living and enjoying every minute of life in this country, why am i constatnly being told to get out of this country. britain has been home for the last 30 years.
i love this country and want to stay. given the chance i'd fight for this country.
i'm sick of the way young boys and girls are going back to their faith. young girls are now wearing the hijab to piss of the authority. these young girls do not their faith yet they are rebelling. as for boys i'm also worried that they are also finding solace in their faith when society is rejecting them.

We rent, my landlord bought three herferd highlander pregnant cows. Horns fully intact. They share a pasture with my quarter horse. Is my horse in danger of being speared? Its a large pasture, same water tank, same feeding area. I cant seem to find anything about this topic when I google it.

My older sister and I have not had any kind of relationship except a destructive one. I try to remain civil and not do any harm to her or me. However, it has gotten to the point where I need to decide if being civil is safe or not. To make a long story short- she abused me when we were kids, and so did some of her friends. I have tried to take the high road and after years of therapy, have forgiven that behavior. I ahve confronted her and she denied it, and still does. However, she is very angry at me and now has a son (my nephew is 2) who I am afraid of hurting. She has not let me hold him. She lives 1000 miles from me, and I only see them on holidays. I want to make sure I am doing the right thing, and I continue to send holiday cards, etc, but it sucks not getting it in return. I feel that I am hurting myself. Where do I draw the line?

Hi,

I had a cold and took sudafed and it gave me more energy and made me feel happier - more chipper.

Is there any reason I shouldn't continue to take it? Could it possibly be any worse than people who smoke and drink everyday?

Maybe it wouldn't be harmful at all?

Okay, so Im kind of involved with a guy, I have no idea what is going on. We see eachother every weekend, and I like it, and my assumtion is that he likes it, or it wouldnt be happening. Yet during the week days, we dont call eachother or text eachother. I have some other guys calling, but I really like this guy. Should I just forget about him and go out with the other guys? Should I feel guilty if I do? Does he like me? All my questions that remain unanswered.

A Sunday School teacher of pre-schoolers was concerned that his students might be a little confused about Jesus Christ because of the Christmas season emphasis on His birth. He wanted to make sure they understood that the birth of Jesus occurred a long time ago, that He grew up, etc. So he asked his class, "Where is Jesus today?"

Well I have season tickets to my team's games and I find it so annoying when there are loud abnoxious fans behind or around me that are yelling things that don't make any sense or are talking (very loudly) about things that aren't true. Like they just have their facts all wrong. My urge to turn around and correct their stupidness is hard to control when that happens. And maybe it's just me, but it seems to happen almost every game. It would be one thing if they were just talking amongst themselves about things but to be yelling out and screaming things that are just wrong.....annoys the crap outta me!! Anyone else feel the same way?

I am well. Hope you are. Tell Brother Walt and
Brother Elmer the Marine Corps beats working for
old man Minch by a mile.

Tell them to join up quick before maybe all of
the places are filled.

I was restless at first because you got to stay
in bed till nearly 6 a.m., but am getting so I like
to sleep late.

Tell Walt and Elmer all you do before breakfast
is smooth your cot and shine some things. No hogs to
slop, feed to pitch, mash to mix, wood to split,
fire to lay. Men got to shave but it is not so
bad, there's warm water.

Breakfast is strong on trimmings like fruit
juice, cereal, eggs, bacon, etc, but kind of weak on
chops, potatoes, ham, steak, fried eggplant, pie and
other regular food, but tell Walt and Elmer you can
always sit by the two city boys that live on coffee.

Their food plus yours holds you till noon when you get
fed again.

It's no wonder these city boys can't walk much.
We go on "route marches", which the platoon sergeant
says are long walks to harden us. If he thinks so, it's not my place to tell him different. A "route march" is about as far as to our mailbox at home.

Then the city guys get sore feet and we all ride back in trucks. The country is nice but awful flat.

The sergeant is like a school teacher. He nags a lot.


The Capt. is like the school board. Majors and
colonels just ride around and frown. They don't
bother you none.

This next will kill Walt and Elmer with laughing.


I keep getting medals for shooting. I don't know
why. The bulls-eye is near as big as a chipmunk
head and don't move, and it ain't shooting at you like
the Higgett boys at home. All you got to do is lie
there all comfortable and hit it You don't even load
your own cartridges. They come in boxes.

Then we have what they call hand-to hand combat
training. You get to wrestle with them city boys. I have
to be real careful though, they break real easy. It
ain't like fighting with that ole bull at home.
I'm about the best they got in this except for that
Tug Jordan from over in Silver Lake . I only beat him
once. He joined up the same time as me, but I'm
only 5'6" and 130 pounds, and he's 6'8" and weighs near
300 pounds dry.

Be sure to tell Walt and Elmer to hurry and join
before other fellers get onto this setup and come
stampeding in.
