Currently, my wife and I (we are both 36 yrs old) save about 25% of our combined salary of 120k per year, which is 30k a year we save into our 401k and roth ira accounts. This is a lot of money but I just feel so insecure about whether or not we are saving enough for retirement (our goal is to be out of the workforce and rat race when we are both 55 yrs old). Our investments are split up in mid caps, large caps, international funds,etc. So far, we have about 382k saved up (300k in 401k and roth ira and the rest in checking and money market account at our bank). We currently have zero debts and no children and both our cars are paid off and are relatively in new condition. However, we are planning soon to have kids (2 at most) and buy a house somewhere around 350k price range. So I just want to know whether or not my wife and I will be able to retire at 55 yrs old and have house paid off and kids taken care of (at least in terms of a decent education). Thanks!

Honestly, is the American Education system that lacking?

Questions and answers claiming that Evolution states we came from monkey's come at least 10 times a day on here.

You can't possibly be that uneducated. No one can be.

Yall are scaring the daylights out of me. My husband is American and I've been considering moving down there because there are better job oppurtunities (I'm Canadian) than anything in my area.

But I'm getting scared. If my kids (if/when we have any) actually go to school and are actually get taught that we come from monkey's, even though it's incredibly wrong, I don't think I want them to go to school there.

I'm not trying to be rude. Really I'm not. But the more I see those types of posts, the more worried it makes me.

We DO NOT come from monkeys. Evolution doesn't even remotely state that.

Please please do your proper research. Evolution teaches that monkey's, apes, and humans all came from a common ancestor.

Ok, so this guy is my guyfriend. We are pretty good friends. He feels he can tell me anything, and he laughs at alot of my jokes. He makes eye contact, and he's not afraid to get close to my face or touch me or anything. He invited me to come see a play he is in. We went to homecoming game together as friends, and he kept stealing my purse. LOL. He jokes with me alot, and he tries to talk to me alot too in homeroom. Do you think he likes me?

heres the deal, my ex rlly wanted me to come to this dance party at his school .. i wasnt gonna go bcuz wuts the point if we're not going out .. but he insisted that he misses me and rlly wanted to see me .. yet wen i asked him something about the past he said "it doesnt matter, we're not going to back back into a relationship" .. ok so wen i got to the party he hugged me wen he saw me and was rlly happy .. but he wasnt with me constantly so all of a sudden this guy starts dancing with me and we started grinding .. my ex finally saw me and after that he disappeared .. at the end of the night i saw him walking in frm the front door and he looked slightly pissed .. i was with the guy and my frend and her guy .. i asked my ex where he was and "u disappeared" .. he said his frend had to talk to him outside .. and we were supposed to hang out after the party but he said "just go and eat with those guys" .. he still didnt call .. did i do something wrong? .. he's the one who broke up w/me

the floor that you have to change back and forth, hence channel 30 on A side is say CNN and on B side its SCI FI. Well my TIVO 2 doesnt know what to make of all this..its asking what channel 30 is and i cant tell it its 2 diff things..im going out of my mind!! What can I do to make TIVO work!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I exercise for 15 minutes twice a day (in the morning and at night) because of such a hectic schedule. I was wondering....since my caloric intake is low, is it still okay for me to consume 800 calories a day while taking the protein, fiber, iron supplements and 1 a day vitamins to prevent my body from going into starvation mode? If so, does it heighten or lower my chances of quick weight loss? By the way....I am a 21 y/o female.

i feel like i am complaining if i call the doct. but i am very bloted, i feel like i need to go to the bathroom, but i dont want to strain, my tummy hurts, i cant sleep at night, my neck hurts, i am nautious in the afternoon around 2:00. o, i have lower pains, ah, i just want to go lay down.
