Sperm can stay alive in the vagina for somewhere around five days. After ovulation, the egg is fertile for about a day and a half. However, even when trying to concieve and doing everything perfect, you are only have about 40% chance of getting pregnant. I would say that you have about a 30-40% chance.

I am pretty sure that during every ovulation cycle there is only a 20% of getting pregnant, I know that doesn't sound like much. You should track your menstrual cycle to better predict you actual ovulation dates, as well as, buying the ovulation kits that the local drug stores, should help you pinpoint more accurately. However, you have the right idea of having sex 2 days before you ovulate. GOOD LUCK....
