the floor that you have to change back and forth, hence channel 30 on A side is say CNN and on B side its SCI FI. Well my TIVO 2 doesnt know what to make of all this..its asking what channel 30 is and i cant tell it its 2 diff things..im going out of my mind!! What can I do to make TIVO work!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have a dual-cable system with a manual switch, you cannot get full use out of your TiVo. There is no way for the TiVo to switch cables. Only if your cable company can provide its own DVR with an internal cable switch will that work.

The only work-around I can think of is to get another TiVo and hook one TiVo to each cable. Program only cable A programs on one and cable B programs on the other.
