I've been writing a book recently about disability, epilepsy and all the trials and tribulations that comes with it. It's a dark comedy of how I have coped with being born with Polands Anomaly (have hands like Jeremy Beadle) I'm a chronic Epileptic and brain damage.
People who I have showed it too are coming out with remarks like "you can't say things like that, someone may find that offensive!" but I think that's an over reaction.
We are getting back to this heather mills thing again. So where do we draw the line especially as writers of comedy.
The biggest joke I hear all the time is 'can I put you in the bath with the washing?
I don't find that offensive and I come back with a witty retort like 'only if you use Ariel as Daz gives me a rash. but my mates find that offensive for me?
Do we as disabled people become dead to remarks like that or are family and friends over defensive.

I have found that many atheists are very intelligent and analytical people. Where as the christians I have encountered are more emotional, and driven. Which do you think is the way to god.
Now I know Athesists say they dont believe in god, but to me from the responses I have received from atheists they are very caring respectful people. So although they dont believe in god, it would seem that they live the principles of god. NOw is it that they understand that god is god, and no god, but more of a way of spirit.
And by knowing this does it allow them to be more honest, because they do not fear the consequences of sin? Or is the devout believer who sees sin as a way of keeping them from heaven, and lives their life in fear of sinning that better knows and lives the example of god. Just wondering?

My mom told me to warm some olive oil in a bag under a stream of hot water, massage it in my hair, and wrap in a towel for softer hair.

How much oil should I use (my hair is thick, natural African-American hair past my shoulder blades) and how long should I keep it wrapped. Also, after this I shampoo my hair...would it be overkill to use a commercial conditioner after the shampoo? rinse-out conditioner of course.

I straightened my hair yesterday, this morning my roots are oily, I dont want to wash my hair because I would have to straighten it all over agin and my hair is SUPER curly & It takes hours. Are there any tricks I can do to freshen it up?

I once tried oatmeal, baby powder etc, and it left it filled with particles and had to wash it.

How can I remove excess oil without washing and without putting dry shampoo????

Why is Sociology so Discredited? I get a lot of 'sociology won't get you this or that' Well okay, they have a degree in I.T. or Computer science, but why do they have to rub it in my face that their degree is more valueable than mines....
