It really doesn't matter, but when you straighten short hair then tends to become frizzy. If you have short hair and want to straighten it then try using a pomade, spray, cream or hair lotion that helps with hair frizz.

careful tho. sometimes, you can get split ends. make sure u get a good ceramic straightener.
