wo days ago, someone made an offer to buy our old condo (hallelujah!!!) and we accepted. Just signed the papers today. Inspection should be a breeze. Settlement is in 6 weeks. On paper we are making a nice profit, but when taking into account the many months the property sat empty, 6% realtors' commission, and the local 1% transfer tax, we are just getting back our 20% down payment and the equity we've built up through mortage payments.

I learned a few lessions. First, don't buy a new home until you've sold your old one. Second, pick your realtor carefully. And third, if your home fails to get ANY offers for months, it's priced too high.

Anyway, as I was glorying in our salvation from our cash-flow problems, a sobering question started nagging me: do we owe tax on the sale of the condo?

I am 21 not bad looking well i am not sure i suppose thats really up to the person thats looking at me, but i cant seem to find someone who i have alot in common with i havent been in a relationship in a while due to being hurt in the past but now i find myself missing the coupley things people do like staying in and lying all over each other watchin TV or trips out and all the other stuff. there has been only one person in my whole life who ive done all that with (She Cheated) and i am scared i may never find that again because the people i meet theres just no spark and end up finsihing it and looking the bad guy. i know i am young and at my age i dont need a relationship but when i was and it was good i cant remember being happier.

i know this question is a bit stupid but its been on my mind lately and is important to me

i have a problem

whenever at work i touch an object e.g. key board desk etc im a fraid to touch my clothes worried that there may be some infectious germs
i dont even use toilets at work worried i may catch an infection. jsut today i reluctantly washed my hands in the bathroom at work but then a guy walked past coming out of the toliets and for some reason i assumed he had urine on his hands which spriknled onto my hands. then i washed my hands with handwash but was afraid when i shook excess water off my hands scared that it may have hit dirty water in the basin and and speinkled back onto my hands,..........

you may have realised by now the extent of my condition, any reassurances or fellow members who suffered from this and any advice or tips??

my husband announced last week, after i'd made him a humble plate of iceland chips...that "a fart just shot through his stomach, and it reverberated like lightning"...i was inclined to think "wow, is my cooking that explosive, cause, i never knew i had it in me"...my husband thought it might have been an iceland rancid fat special...what worried me is that my tummy never responded in quite the same way? does that mean my tummy is more hardy, having had to deal with nearly 20 years of my cooking...or is it that my hubby stretches foods well beyond the sell-by date, and that was just a climax of his "modus operandi"? oh well, lemme try some more of those chips while i wait for a response or 2...

Alright, I am a bit on the shy side, but I was thinking about dressing up for work tonight while the kids are coming into the store (we always give out a lot of candy). My problem is that the other person that is working with me, decided not to dress up...Would I look like a dumb@$$ if I dress up as a mechanic while the other person isn't dressed up at all?

Ive been with this girl for a week. She and i love each other...but i think this relationship wont work out. We say we love each other but we dont show it...the only thing we do is kiss. I injured my back last week and went to the chiro and then to the er. Both feel it is just a pinched nerve and not a disk problem. Was given shot of pain meds and muscle relaxer. Then a rx for percocet, medrol steroids, flexeril and naproxyn. Last time I took these was Saturday night. It is now tuesday morning. I am still in pain, but my biggest problem right now is, I am totally out of it, both my mind and body are completely numb. Its really weird, I can feel pain and such, just feels like i am completely out of my body.

Please tell me someone knows what this is, because I feel like I'm going crazy here.
