I have to agree that Colorado Springs, CO is fantastic, I lived there for 17 years. It also is a great central location to a number of different towns in CO that are beautiful, scenic and offer lots to do even if you don't ski. Within a 15 min drive there is Manitou Springs, a sweet town with great shops and even an old penny arcade, an hour away is Cripple Creek, an old mining town that has converted to a Casino town. And then it's just a couple hours drive through some beautiful mountains to see towns like Breckenridge, which is just majestic.

Vail Colorado has to be one of the most scenic places on earth. Majestic mountains seem to rise straight up out of nowhere and the town is nice. Don't think so then look up prices for real estate.

Sights-seward highway just outside of anchorage. Ocean on one side, straight up mountains on the other. The BEST views ever. Alaska is a must see!!
Towns-Just about anywhere in CO. Little mountain towns everywhere. Breckenridge and Telluride are my favorites.
