Alright, I am a bit on the shy side, but I was thinking about dressing up for work tonight while the kids are coming into the store (we always give out a lot of candy). My problem is that the other person that is working with me, decided not to dress up...Would I look like a dumb@$$ if I dress up as a mechanic while the other person isn't dressed up at all?

Definitely not dumb. I remember when I was a kid, they decided to stop in-school Halloween parties. No one was supposed to dress up. I did anyway. I was the only one in the entire school with a costume and I loved it! And just a few years ago, two friends and I decided to throw our own Halloween party two weeks before the date. It was a great conversation starter at the club we went to. Have fun with it and don't even worry about what your coworker does or does not do. The kids will love it!

You go girl! I think that is wonderful that you are putting forth some effort to dress up. When I used to work at a mall I used to dress up too, but non of the other co workers did. I never cared. You have the spirit of Halloween and the kids will love it...actually the kids will love the candy!! Have a great time tonight!

No, that's fine... the kids will appreciate the effort you made while your co-worker may not. Go as a mechanic and make the most of it.
