I'm 16 and I'm wondering how old you have to be to start getting hot flashes? Like, at night time, the air conditioner will be on like, 68(it drives my parents crazy because they're always cold) and the ceiling fan in my room is on high. all i sleep in is a tank-top and thin shorts (and undies of course) and I only use a thin sheet for a cover, but I still feel really hot, and I sweat as if it's 78 degrees with no fan. sometimes i'll feel cold but still be sweating. it only happens at night, and it's very annoying. any ideas about what's going on or advice??

I recently lost my first child while i was 5 months pregnant. It's not really considered a miscarriage becuase i was 21 weeks and it's not considered a still born becuase he was still alive, for some reason my water broke and there was nothing we could do to save the pregnancy. It will be 4 weeks this saturday since this happened, We want to try right away, but i haven't gotten a period yet (which i know it can take 4-6 wks after having child). I am wondering if it is okay to get pregnant again right away. The doctor recommends waiting until i have had 3 normal cycles, but i really want to get pregnant right now.

often spout things like...
you can't possibly understand HIS way until you have opened your heart to HIM.

and all that instead of just answering the question. I'm not religious myself but I often "stick up" for religions by offering information and suggestions as to why a religious person might think the way they do.

I know that often the questions against religion are hostile or presumptious but why don't the answerers just prove it with words and explain themselves, hopefully ENLIGHTENING others. Giving the asker something to think about instead of copping out and annoying people more by basically saying "it just IS"

"my way is the right way.." and no more information is exactly the kind of attitude that prompts the questions and hostility in the first place.

ok i have a boy and i m not good at kissing and making. and neither are the girls in my cheerleading team. so what we do is the practice it with each other. this is what went wrong today. me and my friend were dismissed from cheerleading practice. we started practicing the kissing and making in the girls locker room in our cheerleading uniforms. we were french kissing, pressing each other and lifting each others mini skirts. it was good practice but i think both of us got a bit too excited so we took off each others uniforms and continued...what do you think of this

...make a like "move" to tell this guy that I like him, but not act on it. I don't want to start dating him, I just want to be friends and a little tiny bit more than that. How do I tell him that. It is easy enough to go through and prove there is no paradox in relativity.

Makes sense - it is a mathematical theory derived from established mathematics. People still don't buy it though.

I think the real problem is the conclusion we try to draw from "thought experiments." Creating fictitious situations has a way of masking reality.

Case in point, if you REALLY put a person in a space ship and flew him at half-light speed to a distant star and back, would he really come back that much younger than his earthbound twin?

I'm guessing no, because the simple twin-paradox problem neglects way too many other factors that would actually come into play.
