It's extremely absurd that you get pleasure out of writing questions like this...
I have never been molested and had a good childhood.
I didn't jump on the bandwagon, there is no bandwagon. Everyone now is just sick of being "in the closet"... it's actually an advancement in a society when people are confident enough to express themselves freely and people like you are slowing the process down.
I am Bisexual, not because I want guys to like to me and not because I'm desperate for a date. I go for the heart of the person... and how anyone could find a piece of your heart that isn't black is beyond me.

Maybe we say we were 'born that way' because we DIDN'T make a choice. At no point in my life did I 'make a choice' to be queer. Many of us tried to choose NOT to be.
Why do you think you know the inner experience of our choicemaking better than WE do? You're not inside our heads and hearts and loins to know what goes on at an instinctive level, whether or not we fight it.
Give up this idea that we chose this. It's like trying to argue us into saying we chose our eye colour when we might actually desperately wish ours were another colour, but either way, they are what they are.
Geez, even the Catholic church (not often known for its immense warm hugs of tolerance) acknowledges in its writings on ethics and morals that homosexuality is not a choice.

when did you choose to be straight?
when did you choose to be a bigot?
it's not a choice!
and not everyone who is gay/lesbian was molested (I was not!)
and not everyone who is molested is gay/lesbian. being molested doesn't "turn" someone gay. most people I've met/known/heard about that was molested as a kid....is straight!
why do people like you never seem to know facts before you come to forums like that and start making blanket statements and judgments?

Love is not a choice. It is a human interaction that is within us. I express my romantic love for a man because it is within me to do so. The way in which I express my love is a choice, but my capacity to love is a compulsion. The gender of the person I romantically love is irrelevant. I can love a man. Be happy for me. What have you got to lose? What bloody business is it of yours what I do with my penis and who I choose to share my bed with?
What happens to you when you see a gay man holding his lovers' hand in the street, or on TV or in a movie? Do you suddenly drop to the floor in pain, fall unconcious and start to break out in a rash? Why does my sex life bother you? Get a life.

Are you for real? I am not gay but take offense for the gay community. Uhhh it is people like you that just don't get it. Like molestation has anything to do with being gay, you are a true jackass!

It has never been a choice. Niether they were born into it. It just came to happen they had previous expereinces that made them think that the way to enjoy their sexulaity is through the same sex. I am gay but I never chose to be one. I tried changing my orientation. But in the end it is still a matter of sexuality.

None of my gay friends reported being molested.
All of them say they liked boys from as early as they can remember.
And why choose the way lacking in social respect, legal protection, tax benefits, etc.etc.? Clearly for them it has not been a choice.
This is how they are.
Peace,
;-)

Ah we hear from the moron crowd. Glad you could join us.
Tell you what, if you can answer why you chose to be the height you are, or chose your eyecolor, then you might get a serious answer to your hillbilly-ignorant question.
Deal, Cletus?

I don't think people choose to be gay/lesbian. I think that all people are born bi. And then decide which way they want to go or my go both ways until they find fulfillment.
