I ask this in response to a recent question from Oprah regarding “What makes you an American?”

I am an American -as are my parents, grandparents and the majority of my great-grandparents. How many native-born generations does it take before one is allowed to be - plainly and simply - an American?

Although still young in comparison to many countries, the United States of America is now 230 years old. I believe her citizens should have the right to be known as Americans by now.

I am offended by the endless forms I’m required to fill out that ask for my “ethnicity”. Often, I mark “other” and place the word American in the blank beside it.

When will the word “American” be enough to describe my ethnicity? Do the This-American and That-American ethnic and ancestral adjectives used by so many unite us as a people – or divide us? If the USA is the “great melting pot” – why are so many who are born, raised and choosing to remain here unwilling to count themselves as part?

That's the "Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now". At least 1492 voter fraud cases were reported by the Board of Election Commissioners in St. Louis MO alone in the last election, and that would be a small percentage of the actual number.

There was this Navy seal last week that jumped on to a grenade to save the life of his other seals on a mission . Silver star that doesn't cut it for what he did . In wwii they gave out medal of Honors for save the life of one or a group of guys . This guy knew he was going to live , but yet he jumped on it anyway . I don't think the mililitry did enough in regards to what this guy did for his country an for the others in his platoon .

not to mention their personal attacks. I got a message from Realist recently, he sounded like he wanted to cry. cry because he cant tax my *** and steal my money to pay for his laziness :-D. i love being a convservative expatriot, escaping the soon-to-be liberal taxes! by the way, im not very religious, nor am i greedy for not wanting to pay high taxes. I encourage all the successful to leave America.
when are the liberals going to stop being jealous of the rich and start being independent on the government?
