I'm looking to buy a digital camera and I realized, I don't know what any of this stuff means!
What is digital and optical zoom, and the difference or importance of them?
What do all these terms mean?

-Central/Spot/Matrix Metering
-MPEG4 Video with Audio (the MPEG4 part)
-15 Scene Mode and 11 Digital Filters
-1.6" TFT LCD
- CCD optical sensor and CMOS sensor
-Digital Filter, PASM Exposure
-L/R Adjustment
-Image Sensor and Pixel Array
-ISO
I know, it's a lot to describe, but i'd really appriciate the help, if i know what these mean maybe i won't get ripped off.

Any suggestions?
We, the people, should have a say in a few issues, such as:
1- The RFID. I don't think we should be branded like cattle.
2- We should have input on the border issue.
3- Let the popular vote decide who wins elections.

I'm 35 yrs old, never married. A big family, but anyway, I feel alone. I cry very often ALONE. I don't have any illusion, nothing that cheers me up.
I know I'm depressed, I feel I will be alone for the rest of my life... I have very bad days (like today), and good ones..

Its a bit of a long story, but basically the Tax credits office have been paying me, even though I have informed them that I am now married. I have telephoned them, writen to them and told them I am not entitled to any money. They kept paying money into my account, eventually after two years I have finally got them to stop, but they have now asked for all the money to be paid back within 1 month. They made this error so can I appeal against it???

I really need to, badly. I have outright speed, 11.5 in the 100 meter, but I can not sustain that for more than 200 meters. My 200 meter in practice is about 26. My 400 meter is 66. Clearly there is a drop off in the last two hundred meters. When I run quarters for training if I try my hardest I can hit 75's consistantly but can not seem to do much better. I've only done this like twice, so I don't know how doing it consistantly will work. If I hit those 75's consistantly will I slowly improve? As in, after a week maybe hit 74's...73's....72's... until I'm running the 60's consistantly? Any other advice would be appreciated.

I had the results of my first teaching observationn today and receieved "M"'s (meets standard ) on all categories but one. I received an "I" ( need improvement ) in one category - having to do with learning environment.
The VP was very positive and said not to be concerned, only the year end one matters ( I have two more) and gave me some classroom layout suggestions and strategies that seem very good.
But - is an "I" something to be concerned about?

My friend has invited me for his wedding but not my wife. My wife does not want me to go as she says it is the last weekend before I start a new hectic job and she wants to spend some quality time with me before I start my new job.
I have been studying for an exam these days and do not spend as much time as she would like with her although I do make an effort to spend at least an hour or so a day, in addition to the whole weekend. I really want to go to my friends wedding which would be for about 5 hours on a saturday evening 2 days before my new job, but my wife is adamant that I dont go. I feel she should let me make my own decision about what I want to do. What do you guys think? Is it wrong for me to go alone under th circumstances?
