I had Lasik in March of 2005 with a repeat on my left eye in March 2006. I LOVE IT!!! By the way, did I mention, IT WAS THE BEST THING I'VE EVER DONE FOR MYSELF. It was a little scary at first (I'm a big baby), but I kept on focusing on the outcome, WHICH IS GREAT!!! My youngest daughter had it when she was 19 and my oldest daughter will have hers next Friday. Talk about FREEDOM!!!! Do it, you won't regret it.

Lasik has came a long way. My sister in law is a Lasik tech and she talks about the pros and cons. Even if you only need glasses for driving, if you really hate them then Lasik might be a great option for you. My sister in law constantly tells me about doctors who have no idea what they are doing and over or under correct. The most important consideration is the safety and reputation of your doctor. Ask local opthamologists, stay away from national chains...this is your eyesight, and problems can occur. My husband had Lasik over ten years ago and still considers it one of the most life changing things he has ever done. His eyesight is still better than 20/20 in both eyes. Good luck.

lasik eye Surgery is very safe nowadays. It is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges Eye surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for American and Canadian patients, as dental surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got her Dental and Lasik Surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. Hope this helps

I'd like to get it. My vision is better than 20/20 with my glasses on, but I'm forever putting them down and then looking for them later. It's a pain in the clintoon. My worry is that as a truckdriver, if they screw up and I lose my good vision, I'm out of a job.

I had it done years ago. It was so fast. I highly recommend it. The only thing, they told me to fall asleep right away, on the way home. I did not and the pain came. So sleep and heal and you will wake to better vision!
