Religious belief appears to be a human universal, found in every culture and in all periods of history. Like every other human institution religion certainly has its appalling failings, but its concern for ultimate meaning, its accumulated wisdom on the deepest aspects of human nature, its concern for virtue, its function in providing social coherence and strength in suffering - all these must also be considered, and are taken into account in other cultures. Only in Europe and those parts of the world influenced by European ideas, does one find such a depth of anger and contempt for what I would regard as a core aspect of what it is to be a complete human being. Why?

as if you get married do you believe your husband is in charge of final decissions and is to be the head of the household? In my parents marriage this is exactly how they live and my mom would not have it any other way. They are very religious people and belive the man should be the head of the house making final decissions if there is a desbute or whatever.. What he basically says goes..how about you?

I had allergy symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneeezing etc. I started taking b12 and the symptoms went away. Could low b12 cause allergy symptoms?

Recently there has been a lot of theoretical debate as to why Jesus was burned on the cross and not nailed to the cross. The intelligent person can only assume that one can only resurrect if one's bodily materiall (flesh and bone) was disintegrated. This can only be done through the process of burning like modern day cremation.

My question is that is it blasphemous for us Christians to still consider that our holy father was nailed to cross? Should we not accept that he was burned to death.

In any event whether our holy father was burned or nailed, he died to show us that when the going gets tough he doesn't back down.

I am diagnosed having sleep apnea and still undergoing treatment. I have to take public transport daily for the 62 mile trip to work (or 90 minutes travel time). As the bus or train leaves the station at 5am, most passengers take time to sleep during the trip. With my loud snoring should I suddenly fall asleep, people get mad and I get so embarrased. Listening to music and watching DVD movies through my portable players can't keep me away from falling asleep too.
