And if so, isn't this a contradiction in the truest sense of the word? I'm having a cynical and irrational day - enlighten me, people...

Sometimes the only pain that you are not numb to is the pain you have.
True love is hard to find these days.
Should I use a magnifying glass or a telescope?
I too am part cynical, but the hopeless romantic in me keeps that part locked in the basement. I am an irrational, hopeless romantic. There are times when there is a glimmer of rational thought, but then that just gets too depressing.

Talk about cryptic!! Are you referring to your Love of the world or the Love to one person?? Symantics!!
Love is a state that you arrive in, where the object of your Love consumes you to the point that YOU don't exist. For example; You fall in Love with someone. True Love...is when their happiness in Life become more important to you that your happiness. In the sense that, because you TWO Love each other enough, and together, you feed each other.
Are you now oblivious to the pain of the world?? No! It is more important that you take care of the ones you Love and deal with the world after ward. At that point in time, you will decide how much time and effort you wish to give to the world and not give to those you Love. Remember though, the well of Love is endless, without boundary. Un-fortunately our lives are linear, our time is linear, therefore our perception concerning others will be linear as well.

No, it isn't just a cliche. Maybe for you. Know it is for me. But, a couple of my really good friends were introduced (by me) and they are so much in love and have been from the time they met. My female friend says she is so happy. I'm glad for her. My male friend, you can tell how he talks now that he plans on staying around as long as possible (has some major health problems).

True love exists.. when it hurts.. it's real!
for true love isn't just the feeling of being happy all the time,
it is when you felt so emotionally tortured but would even let yourself stay in that situation, becuase you knew it's the only way to feel him beside you..that's what you call sacrifice.. and true love means taking all these sacrifices..

certain, because in case you truly settle for what you're solid and undesirable, you could settle for others. In different words in case your satisfied, you should be at liberty with some different person by making use of your aspect, if no longer, you'll see many incorrect issues, and the reality is that no one is suitable.
