I was told that newer fridges have a different kind of coolant in them and cannot be in below freezing weather is this true? I want to put a 10 year old fridge in my garage so I want to know if it is old enough.

I was reading about making a basic wand, and most sites say driftwood is the best. I don't have any driftwood... I live in the mountains and it's very hard to find. They said other sticks will do, but I was wondering... would bamboo work? I have many bamboo trees in my backyard. It is smooth and very tough. (I had trouble finding a section to put this in)
