Best Treatment For Lichen Planus

Lichen planus is an incurable and often chronic disease. If you are looking for something that cure this ailment then your search will be fruitless. I have two close relatives with lichen planus and have helped with their treatment for over ten years. In my experience the disease comes and goes with no particular rhyme or reason but if left untreated it will get worse quickly with itching that can drive you nuts.

Corticosteroid creams often work well for clearing the lesions but only if you are willing to treat the involved skin at least twice daily for however long it takes - which is often months or longer. We use an inexpensive medium strength corticosteroid like triamcinolone as a starting medicine. If we aren't seeing improvement in a month or two we try a stronger steroid cream like mometasone furoate (generic for Elocon).

If you are inexperienced with treating skin problems you might need the guidance of a dermatologist. If you have lichen planus in your mouth or eyes then you will need to see an ear, nose and throat or eye specialist. A treatment of last resort is oral prednisone but most people will respond to the topicals if they are diligent about applying them regularly. good luck as lichen planus is a pain

Homeopathy is of no benefit to the treatment of ureterolithiasis, neither is Ayurveda. A 10mm stone is extremely large and will not pass without surgical intervention.
