I hear everyone talking about marriage in the Biblical sense, however, I have been unable to locate the word marriage or married or to marry in the Bible.

You have to understand the time that the Bible was written. There were no rituals or ceremonies back then to pinpoint the beginning of a marriage. The veiled reference is about leaving your mother and father and cleaving one to another. This just meant that you were no longer under your parents control but were in partnership to each other. When this concept became confusing then religions became more lawful requiring the religious elders to sanction the relationship, then the secular law became the legal binding of the two for responsibilities to the government. Stop and think about it, marriage is in the heart first, long before it is in the county clerks office.

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage (gámos )is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

γάμος
gámos; Marriage, a wedding feast (Mat_22:10-12; Luk_14:8; Joh_2:1-2); the actual joining of a husband and wife (Heb_13:4). Used also of the wedding festivities in the pl., gámoi (Luk_12:36; Mat_22:2-4, Mat_22:9, alternately with the sing., Mat_22:8, Mat_22:10-12; Mat_25:10 gámous). The expression, "the wedding feast of the Lamb" (a.t. [Rev_19:7, Rev_19:9]), and also certain parables (Mat_22:2 ff.; Mat_25:1-10), refer to the "husband-wife" relationship of God to Israel as presented in Isa_54:4 ff.; Hos_2:19.

This relationship of Jehovah to His people in the OT, Israel, was to be fully realized in the Messianic era (to which the expression in Joh_3:29, and perhaps Mat_9:15, points) and is parlayed into Christ's relation to His redeemed bride, the Church, in the NT (2Co_11:2; Eph_5:26-27; Rev_21:2; Rev_22:17). The marriage of the Lamb is the consummation of salvation to be ushered in by the parousía (G3952), the appearing of the Lord.
Deriv.: ágamos (G22), unmarried; gaméō (G1060), to marry; gamískō (G1061), to give in marriage.

1 Corinthians, where Paul made statements about marriage that were egalitarian to the point of monotony. He said, "each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The husband should give his wife her conjugal rights and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not rule over her own body, but the husband does; likewise the husband does not rule over his own body, but the wife does" (1 Cor. 7:2-4). He acknowledged that those who are married should not feel they must abstain, except for periods of time mutually agreed upon (7:5).
Deuteronomy 7:3
Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

Deuteronomy 24:1
When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.

Mark 10:11
And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.

Matthew 19:9
And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Romans 7:3
So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Romans 7:4
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
