Just now I saw someone use the phrase "get's on your last nerve". I've seen a professionally produced sign with "Hot Dog's" on it.

Do people really just think an apostrophe goes before any "s" at the end of a word?

We are a violent and dangerous people. We declare war on everything - Iraq, drug, crime - war is our favorite thing, aside from making up new crimes so we can keep putting more and more people in prison. Our Big Brother, GW Bush and his henchman, Lord Cheney, have killed tens of thousands more people than the terrorists we're "at war" with. . .since nobody knows who our next victim might be, why wouldn't they hate us?

I own a gas station where one of my employees was tricked into selling to a decoy minor that a police officer sent in. Got ticketed and will go on my record with Alcohol and Beverage Control (ABC) people. Anybody know if there is a way I can fight it in court or some other way to not get it recorded?

The other day I went to start my mower and after a few tries (the mower would just barely crank) I saw smoke rising from the battery tray. Upon inspection I found the negative (ground) post partly melted and the ground wire cooked. I decided I had a poor ground connection and so renewed the ground wire, making the connection shiny and new at the frame and battery (positive and negative). upon reassemble I saved the connection to the negative post for last and gingerly touched the ground to the terminal and saw a strong arc (strong enough that it tried to stick to the post), so I began to disconnect things one by one to see what might be drawing current (ignition switch, buss bar, starter, clutch, lights, wire harness) still every time I tested I would get an arc at the negative post.

Finally I decided to disconnect the positive lead on the battery and connect the negative ground first. when I then touched the positive lead there was no arc, nada, nothing, zilch. So I made the connection and now everyting works fine and dandy.

Now I'm going nuts trying to understand why. (the battery takes and holds a charge)

I have a iPod video (30GB), and I was trying to synchronize all my photos, which all together take about 4GB. After iTunes 7 synchronized everything I had over 6GB of photos on my iPod (the "include full-resolution photos" box was not selected. How can I avoid using all that extra space for photos?
