We are a violent and dangerous people. We declare war on everything - Iraq, drug, crime - war is our favorite thing, aside from making up new crimes so we can keep putting more and more people in prison. Our Big Brother, GW Bush and his henchman, Lord Cheney, have killed tens of thousands more people than the terrorists we're "at war" with. . .since nobody knows who our next victim might be, why wouldn't they hate us?

Americans are not well-liked, around the world. There was a time when they were welcomed pretty much everywhere. But now, as the U.S. have flexed their muscles and caused problems for others, there is much resentment, much of it coming from Muslims.
Wars are engineered for a reason, usually for the warmonger to take what someone else has. In this case (Afghanistan and Iraq), oil and strategic locations. The U.S. had to beat Russia and China...

I don't know about this "WE" stuff, but I've voted for people who are about promoting peace without means of lifting a weapon in people's face. It's not The American Public wants war, it's the Americans are lulled and tricked into thinking that the politicians know best for it's people and policies.
The real story to it is that we are too lazy to know the people we vote for in office and too lazy to exercise our constitutional rights as people.
Far too often, some of believe that the politicians "knows best". The point of having politicians in American society is to elect people that serve our interest as a whole. Not for special groups and the select few.
The first of many things we need to do is to educate ourselves in what we want and the benefits it gives for everyone. Once that's established, the people find a person who's qualified to represent that interest by having no closed door deals and to have constant public forums. You say we do that? In my opinion, I don't see any evidence to the fact in the direction we are heading.
I certainly don't like to fight unless I'm given a CLEAR reason to do so.
It's OUR fault that the current climate in The U.S. has gone out of control by allowing the politicians dupe us into thinking what they are doing is the right thing.
We (voters and politicians) have to be dependent on us and that requires we get involved in every level of ourselves.
Shame on us.

In my opinion, it is more a reason for the world to look down on us that we have people who say things like "Yo dawgs" and think that anyone actually understands them.
We are not violent and dangerous. We have the courage to stand up to the violent and dangerous - the terrorists!
Our government was elected. If you don't like them, then get literate, find a candidate, campaign for them and get them elected. Did you even vote in the last election?

Iraq was so peace loving. They fought Iran for 7 years before invading Kuwait. They even gassed their own country. It is funny how you could admire a dictator like Sadam so much as to over look all that he has done. The country of Kuwait doesn't hate us. It's inevitable that left wing wing nuts as yourself would hate us, self loathing is part of being a left wing wing nut. France used to love us, after we saved them. Just before we went to war with Iraq France was making big money with the Food For Oil program. Now they are not getting that sweet deal so they are mad. I guess you would have us wait for the terrorist come to our shores and blow us up so that all our "friends" would like us again. I'd rather be hated!
