i signed a 12 month contract on a flat in november last year, but moved out in august as i have bought a house. I contacted the estate agent for the flat and they said i still have to pay the rent, which i guessed i would have to. However the estate agent asked for the keys back so we gave them in without thinking about it. Now though we are paying the rent on a flat that we don't even have access to should we still pay the rent??
Has anyone else been in the situation?
Also my husband went back to the flat the day he gave the keys in and said someone has been in it as the bed was no longer made, are they aloud to come and go as they please ??

thanks

The problem is we were in the same school but we never talk to each other.I cannot explain how bad and how hurt I feel when I think of forgetting him.My frnds says that I mad bcoz I m loving such a guy who is not bother to understand my feelings. But I cannot explain that forgetting him is like making my life hell and spoling my future.Bcoz of him I always feel lonely without him and anyone presence doesn't matter to me.Main hamesha upset rehti hoon aur maire frnds aur meri family hamesha mujhe khush rakhne ki koshish karti hai.

i'm not talking about over-eating, i'm talking about all the beating of eggs, the whipping, mashing, and smashing of potatoes, the slicing, the dicing, the cutting of various veggies. the de-boning, the freezing, oh the humanity!

see for the past year ive been getting calls to my mobile from a private number, mostly they are silent but sometimes they are abusive and calling me names. i have a good idea that it is my ex bf, who i went out with for only 4 months, he has never really got over me. the calls stopped for about a month there but mthen i received a text....and as you cant keep your number private in a text i have the number. the texts are from "someone i know" who claims to love me and will always love me. all this gets me down so much. i want something done about this fella but I dont know what my next step is. if it means getting the police involved I will. at one point i was receiving 10 texts in the space of an hour.

I am currently living in Stoke Newington but need to buy a bigger house as my family is expanding, and I can't afford to buy in SN.

I care about: schools, transport, and crime; and I work in West London. Can cope with a 10 mile cycle to/from work in Shepherd's Bush.

I am looking at places like Harrow, Finchley, and Acton, but don't really know anything about any of them. Any advice on these or other areas would be most welcome.

of events that have direct impact on our freedoms we all question this administrations ability to run our governmemt effectively but the the media and I mean all media outlets are closeing eyes to any address that would cast a negative light on our lack of faith in this administration ,can anyone tell me how the press is free when our government prohibbits our press investigating and providing factual events by stating a matter of national security or homeland security is an event has already happened and we can see it unfold before our own eyes why must the press wait for an official word and why is the government able to be the official when the press is suposse to be immune to government interferrence while reporting the news ?wasn't the press suppose to be used as a tool to keep the government in check ?and wasn't the press suppose to be held accountable for misprinting facts that were not confirmed by source integrity ?

I'm a Japanese speaker. Teach me English.

Past tense, Past Perfect, Present Perfect always give me hard time. They are sometimes really confusing.

My English Book says,
「The criminal has been in prison for 10 years. 」 is OK
「The criminal has been in prison for 10 years but he is free now」 is not correct.
The criminal's prison life is over. so It should be past tense of WAS for that sentense.

I found this term on the same text book.
He had worked for 30 years until she retired.

Why is Past Perfect used in this term? Because his job is over now. He is no longer working. That's why I think the verb should be (WORKED).

I'd like you to explain those terms.
Thank you in adance.

If it wasn't, then what would we need brains for? Don't we need brains to have out of the body experiences and near death experiences? Don't we need a brain to be decieved by our own superstition? AAAAAAAAHHH!

man1:And there’s what’s left of a moat around the place. We could widen it and burn some oil as a barrier.
man2:Have we got enough oil?
man1:That’s the problem. The moat has to be bigger than I anticipat.

Does man1 mean "because The moat has to be bigger than I anticipat, we don't have enough oil"
OR
"we don't have enough oil and that's why moat has to be bigger than I anticipat"?
