You're a train conductor, and up ahead there are 4 people tied to your current track. They will die if the train continues it's path. You have the option, before that, of veering off to a different track. If you do this you will have chosen to kill the 1 person tied up to that particular track. You can't stop the train. What do you do?

Before the word "fruit" was introduced (together with many French words after 1066), "apple" meant any kind of fruit. With two similar words coexisting, the meaning of "apple" shifted to its actual definition. Do you know what was the old word for an apple?

I remember seeing it on a television special. A small child read the word "bubble", and others from flash cards, while another saw a flash card reading "wave" and he began to wave. Although there attention spans are low, they say the prime time for youth to learn is from infancy to toddler years. By kindergarten most of that deep-rooted potential is passed by. Any information on it would be grand.

It is my belief that we all have done this at some point in time.
We will be asked a question that we'll know that we truly don't know the answer to; e.g.; 'why do chickens lay brown eggs?'.
Instead of saying, 'I don't know', we will hazard a guess; we will make up an answer or give some kind of nonsense answer; or to me, what can be the most annoying of all if at the time I am truly looking for a serious answer; an attempt at a humorous response.
Why is it so hard for us to just say, 'I don't know?'

Hello all,

I have been coloring my hair off an on at home for along time now I have used different brands from everything from Colorsilk to Feria, Nice'n Easy, Nutrisse etc....I recently got a new brand I have never tried....Revlon High Dimension Sultry Chestnuts in the color called Autumn...I was just wondering if anyone has any opinions of this color before I try it, also a question...amateur I know but just want to check--they say not to use it on hair that has been treated with metallic dyes....what kind of hair color brands typically have this metallic dye--Just curious and would it be ok to color over with this home color if I have used other brands?

Thanks a bunch-JammieGirl
