I woke up to walk my dog and there were two doves sitting on my car very close together but facing opposite direction. I have lived here for 4years and have never seen any doves in the area. okay the worst part in the matter of one week I found both the doves on different days dead! this is wierd.....is this a sign??

Try not to think of it as a sign or omen of the supernatural. Try to balance that off with some logic and reason. It may be that these birds were someone's pets that got free. Maybe they were migrating--fall is coming. Perhaps they ingested something poisonous. Perhaps if they were ill, they may have gotten off of their migratory route due to confusion in a state of illness. There is probably a more logical reason for this occurance, so you don't have to wait for Sylvia Browne's advice on this one. I don't know where you live, but you may want to contact the health department. If I found birds dead in my yard, I'd think that maybe they have West Nile Virus. I live in the south and we've been told to report these sort of things.

Doves are signs of peace from heaven. If you are a believer in Christ, you should consult a pastor to find out the meaning behind. Pray hard for your safety and peace to be with you all the time. Take care !

There is an old wives tale about a "bird on a wire."
If their is one, since they mate for life, it is said that if you make a wish on it your true love will come to you if you complete the wish before the bird takes off from the wire.
If their are two... you don't wish on them. If they die... I think maybe it's because someone is poisoning them? I can't see why two would die unless they ate the same thing, from the same source.
I believe in coincidence and I never ignore them, but I don't think it means anything bad?

It means avian copulation, the building of a nest, and then a bundle of cute little ivory eggs. For a human it means pull out the frying pan. Oops, unless they are dead. That means no breakfast (unless your from Mississippi), and a pox upon your house. Move.

yep they were short sighted ,now thats weird to get two short sighted doves flying in the opposite direction, going to the same place.
