Girl smoothies are great to make i make them all the time as a matte of fact i will make one now too.

i think u should use

milk
vanilla ice cream
apples/i prefer peaches, bluberries, strawberries but apples are fine.
cran apple juice
grapes
and ice.

peel skin and core apple. remove the skin of the ggrapes and leave a few with the skin. use like 5-7 grapes.
have all the ingredients on the counter and the blender
make sure u have the top to the blender

put 1 cup of ice in the blender
add like 2-3 scoops of ice cream
add the apple and some grapes
add a lil bit of cran apple juice
put top on blender and press mix or chop
if it is too thick stop the blender and add more liquid juice or milk very slowely becareful not to add to much. add the top and blend. IS it ok now ?Blend until its the way u want which should be about a minute.

IF its too water add more icecream
if its too thick add more liquid of ur choice.

A smoothie is essentially a blended fruit drink and is made using a food blender or smoothie maker. In order for the smoothie to have a liquid like form that is drinkable (rather than chewable) the smoothie must have a liquid base. Common liquid bases include various fruit juices such as apple or pineapple juice. Dairy products such as milk, yoghurt and ice cream can be used as the smoothies liquid base.

Pour the liquid base into your blender jug and next add the fruit. Feel free to use whatever fruits you feel like. Banana and strawberry smoothies are popular but you can use any combination of soft fruits that you have available (fruits of the forest anyone?). Some harder fruits such as apple will take longer to break down and may leave your smoothie lumpy so you may want to juice these fruits and add the juice and/or pulp into the smoothie mixture.

If necessary peel the fruit (i.e. citrus fruits, bananas, mangoes etc) and then add the fruit at a steady rate whilst blending and blend until the mixture has a smooth consistency. You can also add ice into the smoothie mixture. Another alternative is to use frozen fruit which helps to naturally chill the drink as well as giving the drink a thicker consistency.

Check the thickness of the smoothie and add more of the liquid base if necessary (this will depend on your own personal taste of how thick you like your drink to be). If the smoothie looks to thin then add more fruit or ice and this should thicken it up.

For a Strawberry Smoothie:
Ingredients
1 punnet of strawberries
1 1/2 cups of live vanilla/natural yoghurt OR 1 1/2 cups of vanilla ice cream
400ml Apple juice
Handful of crushed ice

Wash the strawberries and remove their stalks. For full flavour the strawberries should be at room temperature, storing strawberries / tomatoes in the fridge can mask some of their flavour. Juice the apples in your juicer or if you haven't got a juicer then you can use apple juice from a carton.

Place the yoghurt (or ice cream if you are feeling indulgent) and 1/4 of the apple juice in your blender, switch on and then add the ice and strawberries and blend until smooth. Finally add the rest of the apple juice and blitz briefly until it is thoroughly blended into the smoothie. Vary the amount of apple juice depending on how thick you like your smoothies to be. The longer you blend the mixture for, the more air will be introduced into the drink and oxidation of nutrients will occur more rapidly. Strawberries are a good source of vitamin C and also a good source of vitamin A. They are also a good source of the minerals calcium, potassium and phosphorus. rozen strawberries can be substituted into the recipe. The recipe uses live yoghurt which contains friendly bacteria that benefit your digestive system. If your other half is asking for something a bit richer then you can substitute a good quality ice cream into the recipe instead of the yoghurt. For a compromise try half yoghurt, half ice cream.

Drink immediately and enjoy!

You can use the ice, oj, milk and vanilla ice cream...just mix it in a blender until you find the right taste and consistency...it would be like a orange julius. I don't know if you know what those are but its a fruit drink place here that makes smoothies. To cut the calories just delete the ice cream and add a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla and a little sugar or sugar substitute. Flavor to taste.
It will taste kinda like orange sherbet without the ice cream and a orange creamsicle with....sounds yummy ...I'm off to my fridge...LOL

I use mixed frozen fruit (honeydew melon, grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon)
a yoplait yogurt cup (any flavor I choose that day)
and whatever juice I might have in the fridge (my favorite is tampico red punch)

I don't use ice, that is the point of the frozen fruit. Just put it in the blender and enjoy.
