my partner came home drunk last night and we've been fighting eversince...he won't stop hitting me when i try and make him leave...he was going to leave at the end of the month but now i just want him out! Do i have to go as far as calling the police to make this happen??

How do i get my ice maker to fill it's tray, it has stopped doing this at the end of it's cycle?

I removed the ice maker and it seems that after it warmed up and was replaced into the freezer it signaled the water inlet valve to send water. After this initial success, the ice maker no longer signals or at least no water is being sent to the tray on the next cycle. Does the thermostat need to be replaced ?

How to prepare them to lie if Children Services come?

My daughters are 6 and 4 years old.There is no father around and of course no relatives of his side.My parents are dead and I don't have brothers and sisters.My other relatives live in Europe.I don't have enough money and till now I was working at home but it's not enough.I'm going to get a real,well-paid job,but I want some advices how can I protect my children from Children Services?I don't know what should I be afraid of more - robberies and killers or Children Services???So,my children are responsible and they won't do nothing stupid or dangerous while I'm at work,because I have learned them what's dangerous and what's not.And don't you worry about their childhood - they are very happy when they stay alone at home and they usually play dolls.So,help me,how should I prepare my children what to do and how to lie if Children Services come?

(Strong) Agnostics, how can you be sure you are right? (Question from weak agnostic)?

Disclaimer - I am an agnostic not trying to convert anyone.

Definitions - Strong agnostic - We don't know for sure if there is a God or not and we can't find out until we die.

Weak agnostic - We don't know for sure but there might be some evidence that we get before we die to prove one way or the other about the existence of God.

So, a question for strong agnostics, how can you be so sure that you wouldn't get evidence for God while you are alive one way or the other?
