That does sound the best way to do it. You need someone there to make sure he leaves without causing any more problems. I am assuming the residence is in your name? If it's in his name then he doesn't have to leave, unless you have him arrested for abuse. Another option would be for you to go to a shelter.

Yes as much as you dont want to (because if you did you would have called last night when he started hitting you) you have to call the police and get a restraining order which will protect you from abuse. If his name is on the property the police (in some states) can not force him to leave (which is why you want the restraining order) Do not allow yourself to stay in an abusive situation. If necessary..YOU leave. Go stay with friends, family or in a hotel. Your safety has become an issue and you are the only person that can save your life. Good luck.

By the sounds yes calling the police and going the root is the only way that you are going to get him out. You could also leave. By the sounds you should do it now and not later.

You SHOULD call the cops. It's called abuse. And at the very least it will get him out of the house so you can pack your stuff and leave. Why are you waiting for him to leave anyway? He won't, you know. You need to take the initiative. They have shelters to help people like you. The police should be able to help you out with that.

i would tell him if he does not leave you are calling the police...he has no business hitting you in the first place...make sure his name is no where on the lease though...because then you will have to press charges and some judges think they have a right to be there if there name is on the lease too...i know it is a difficult situation but you do not deserve to be hit on...i have went through to many years of that before and i would not stand for it now at all....good luck and hope all goes well for you...

If he's hitting you, call the police. You may get hurt trying to get him out yourself.

If he's normally abusive, get a restraining order on him. If it's just because he's drunk, the police will just keep him until he sobers up. Maybe then you can talk some sense into him.

the best thing you should have done the very first time he hit you was call the police. Its not an excuse to hit you because he was drunk. You should have done that, for him to stop doing it to you. And also to let him know that you are not scared of him..

Yes call the police

That's probably the safest way. But if you have an older male relative that is cool under pressure, you might consider that too, but that's a riskier way. I'm sorry you are going through this. I do not condone males hitting women.

Of course call the police and make sure you charge him. The nut shouldn't be allowed to hurt you or anyone else.
