Naw....a love bite causes what is known as a "hematoma", which is the breakage of tiny blood vessels just below the skin. The suction of your 'friend' on your neck causes them to burst and bleed a little.

They reheal, but the white blood cells that come and remove the blood...which has now clotted under your skin...changes the blood cells chemistry and it changes color and then they slowly fade.

Love bites are really just 'black and blue' marks caused by bumping into your 'boy/girl friend" instead of a door!!
