For those of you that believe in God, He has given us a new day to spend on Earth, how will you spend it?

Will you spend it wisely and lovingly or will you waste it? Remember that whatever you do the choice is yours but this day will not come again. {I will spend my day at Mass, Communion with my Lord and Savior and then family time and 'communion' with them. Before I return to work.}

Am I going to lose my best friend, or keep her?

I have been around my best friend for two years. She and I (I am a boy) used to do everything together. Whenever we were not in Uni we were always together. We were never practically seperated. Over the last term she has fancied this guy loads, and was falling in love with him. They were trying to spend all their time together and not telling me they were always doing this but lie. Now my best friend has broken up with her old boyfriend and they are now both seeing each other. I have gone on holiday for a while now but when I return I fear that I will have basically lost my best mate. All the stuff we used to do together will now be done by those two and I won't be able to catch her alone for a while without the guy being there. And whenever I try and tell her how I feel, she tells me that the relationship is changing and it will never go back to how it used to be. And I bascially end up arguing with her, and then the boyfriend also gets involved and thinks I am out of order.

Why doesnt someone tell them?

Why do so many people audition for Idol then get upset when they are rejected even though its obvious they are tone deaf with no talent. And how can they possibly not hear how BAD they sound? I think family and friends should be cruel to be kind and tell them.

Prove every ring contains a maximal ideal. ...?

Any hints on this one?

I'm starting in a way that seems awkward and roundabout. Let R be a ring. If R is a field, then <0> is a maximal ideal of R; otherwise R contains at least one nonzero element that is not a unit, say x.

Then if R has a unity element, is a proper ideal of R.

Hints on where to go next or how to start over? I know there are lots of theorems on maximal ideals, but I'm (for now) trying to do this by brute force.

Why did he marry her?

I was with this guy from London (I live in Manchester), on and off for about a year. My daughter loved him to bits and he loved her. We had a very passionate relationship which meant that we had a lot of pasionate heater arguments as well as the good stuff! Well, when we spit up I thought it was just one of those split/get back together things... but he wouldn't return my calls or my emails, for months! He then changed his mobile number and email address so that I couldn't contact him at all!

I just found out that he met someone shortly after we split and five months later - married her! Apparently, they are happy. But how can they be? He still loves me, and I still love him (over a year later). Although I haven't spoken to him since we split, I think about him all the time.

Should I contact him somehow and tell him I still love him? Why did he marry her - he must have been on the rebound (so it will never work anyway!)
