Why do so many people audition for Idol then get upset when they are rejected even though its obvious they are tone deaf with no talent. And how can they possibly not hear how BAD they sound? I think family and friends should be cruel to be kind and tell them.

No,they shouldn't, that's the best part of that horrid show. I watch the tryouts to get a good laugh, and skip the actual competition.

ya. maybe they believe in their talents but then they're just being rejected. they may expected too much then. family and friends always try to give support and yes its their part to do so. even sometimes they already know about it, they just dont want their love one ...i mean the participant.... to be hurted. then a YES GO is just their part...

bcuz people don't wanna face the facts they suck act singing. i think sometimes their family should tell them cuz then they wouldn't go on the show and make a fool of themselves.

They probably know they suck, they just didn't realize that they sucked so much that not even American Idol wanted them.
