I have noticed with many christians,christian videos and preachers/teachers this common theme off trying to convince christians that an 'atheist' is really an 'agnostic'. Its seems to be the first order of business when discussing 'atheism'. if you have noticed this also, in your view, what is the agenda behind this 'redifinition'?
I would say i am an atheist, I am without belief in god/s.I was once a christian for many years,but never had this problem with the words atheist and agnostic. But christians seem to take strong issue with the word 'atheist' nowa days, and try and convince me i am really an agnostic? Whats the 'hidden' purpose of this?
or another way of asking it is, Why the focus for christians on this simple word?
I hope i explained myself clearly enough :)

World/The blood-dimmed tide is loosed." William Butler Yeats. In Iraq the center does not seem to be holding. At some point our present situation has to e reassessed. We have a president who has gone from being resolute to just plain stubborn and obdurate on the subject of Iraq. Is President Bush more concerned with his own place and history and legacy than he is with the unyielding reality of what is happening? Iraqi's are protesting in the streets yelling "Death to America and Israel." Is it time to stop the madness and get out, or at least redeploy to the Kurdish area in the North?

I've been "dieting" for 22 days now. I'm not on any program, I've just cut out sodas and drink tons of water, eat salads for lunch, and about half of what I used to eat for dinner. I'm reading Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution and believe I will commit to it when I have finished the book, but would like to know any problems that you had while on it. Did it work well for you? Is it a waste of your time? What are potential pitfalls I should look out for? Thank you!

i have tried clartion, reg allergy meds store brand, and a couple the doc said to take, any suggestions that works for you, i have a dog but cannot give him up and it effects my throat so just wanted to see if anyone has this problem like me, only serious answers please.

Her dad is sent here from hell, I am sure of it. He hit her about 2 months ago and she moved out. I stayed with her until she moved back home. She had to do that...1) To get ready for college, 2) Her crazy roommate decided to kick her out so a drug-addicted pill popper could move in. Her mom is so sweet and was so excited when her little girl came back home. Well the night she came back, her dad snatched up her car(which he gave her as a Christmas present) and now she has to get a ride to work, a ride home for lunch, and a ride home form work. I would do it but I work an hour away from where she does. She told me she isn't taking a lunch today because she has no way to get home to eat. Plus her building has no food. Well last night her dad got all mean and started calling her names, saying she was good for nothing, she can't do anything right. And do you know why?!!? Because all of her laundry wasn't put away yet and it was in her room!!!! So he says she won't get the car back at all.
