I am in the middle of the road, leaning towards agnosticism. I want to believe in God, but I think I'm afraid to. First of all, I find the whole idea hard to take in. I am a realistic person, and I have millions of questions. I am scared and confused about the idea of Hell. A just God couldn't possibly send that many people to Hell, right? What about Ghandi? What about isolated tribes in say, Africa who have never even heard of Jesus. According to the Bible, those who do not accpet Jesus into their hearts will all go to hell. What about the mentally retarded who can't make the decision?

I can't grasp the idea of life after death. I think I can believe in a God who created us, but the idea of the spirit after death is so beyond me.

I want to believe in God, but really think I just CAN'T. Any suggestions? I just can't do it...it's like me telling you to believe in Santa Claus. I want to, but I think it's too late, and I also don't agree with who goes to Hell.

i was born and raised in south florida, but moved around a lot as a kid and ended up in a small northern michigan town when i was about 12 years old. i met my boyfriend when i was 14 years old, a freshman in high school. (he was 16)
he moved in with me when i was 15 and we've lived together ever since. when i was 19, we moved to south florida, so i could show him where i grew up.
that was 4 years ago now...i am 23 and we are getting married in a couple months. we can't decide if it is time for us to go back home to be with our friends and family. we love florida. we love being alone, without the small-town drama...but we are starting to miss our family/friends. we don't really have anyone down here. also, while i moved here, my mom had another kid, so i have a 3 year old sister i want to get to know better.
should i really pick up and move back there to be with all the people i love? or stay in florida with the perfect mix of storms/sand/sun and alone time? please help!!
