The ownership and usage of another human being, I know that sounds dumb but that is what it is, It has nothing to do with power it has to do with people just being jerks and using life that does not belong to them. Then again you ask a woman what that is and she would probably say"Marrige".

You statement, the Rich manipulate the poor is a good answer, but the person doesn't have to be rich or poor. Slavery can be created by causing another to do things without their consent and without honest compensation.
