I saw this show a while ago about polygamy and it talked about how many women and children get hurt by it. Why don't Americans do anything about it (and of course our government?)

This would require cable companies to offer individual channels, with a separate price for each one, instead of package deals with several channels bundled together. For example, if you just wanted CNN, MTV, and HBO, you could just order those instead of having to get a 100 channel package that includes all 3.

Why or why shouldn't cable companies be required to offer this kind of service?

I'm in an American Lit class & my text continually states that Emerson is the greatest writer in American history. My personal opinion is that Nathaniel Hawthorne (particularly Young Goodman Brown and The Scarlet Letter) are far greater works than Emerson's. Your thoughts, and why?

I really don't want a 5.1 home theater, just a 2-channel stereo system that sounds good for the least amount of money. What would be the least expensive NEW components I can get that will still sound good. Here's an itemized list of what I want to get:

- SPEAKERS 1 pair

- 2 CHANNEL INTEGRATED AMP

- CD/DVD/SACD PLAYER

- 10' SPEAKER CABLE, 1 pair

- 1M INTERCONNECTS 2 pair

- AC LINE CONDITIONER w/6 outlets

Can I do it for under a Grand? Under $500? Or, is that I cannot get good sound from a stereo system for any less than $2,500? As long as it is brand new and sounds good, the cheaper the better. If you want to include a powered subwoofer, that's fine too.

Wikipedia defines Terrorism as:
"... a strategy of using violence, or threat of violence to generate fear, cause disruption, and ultimately, to bring about compliance with specific political, religious, ideological, or personal demands".

In this regard, isn't Israel a Terrorist state? Isn't Israel using / threatening violence against Lebanon to bring compliance with its demands?

When is an organization terrorist, when is it separatist, freedom fighters, liberatory, revolutionary, militant, etc? Who decides?

Why can't the UN unambiguously define terrorism and penalize those that embark on it?

This Question stems from a question i Asked earlier about the 'The Gay Games' which can be found here:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Am8gK6GdLtKUR.N0SKQ4f83sy6IX?qid=20060714065203AA2rXBe

I understand the answers people gave, but to me it still seems wrong for the 'Gaymes' to explicitly exclude a group of people based on their sexual orientation.

So what I would like to know is that since these 'Gay Games' are so important for gay athletes so that they can be around people like them and feel comfortable while playing sports would the gay community support the 'Strait Games' for those people who are homophobic, so that they would not have to deal with or worry about dealing with having homosexuals on their team.

When I delivered my second son, my doctor asked me and my husband if we were done having children. When we responded yes, he said we needed to be due to my uterus being so thin that my son was trying to break through.
I just found out I am pregnant again... unexpected, but want to go ahead with the pregnancy.
Is it safe?
It has almost been four years since my last section and will be close to five years by the time the baby is delivered. Is this enough time for the uterus to heal and carry another child?
Any help would be extremely appreciated.
Thanks.
