Someone had a car accident at the intersection of our cul de sac and it was raining and she was really upset and had her 5 or 6 year old in the car with her. Fortunately noone was hurt, but she was still there about an hour or so after the incident waiting for the police and so even though she had declined my initial offer of help I sent my husband out with something to drink and crackers because it was past the dinner hour. It made me feel as though I had done something kind for someone regardless of their circumstances and/or pride. My husband said she cried at the gesture. Human kindness should be expected, not come as a surprise.

If you attached an object (say a space ship) to an extremely long cable of remarkable strength (like graphite or diamond) and the end of the cable is cast into a black hole (by "cast into" of course I mean "launched into from hopefully billions of miles away") what would happen? I know that you couldn't pull it back out - an infinite amount of force would be insufficient - but could this be a practical means of interstellar acceleration, especially if life support and DEceleration aren't a problem (like probes)? How fast exactly would the space ship accelerate? Would it at all?

People hotlink my stuff, so I've exceeded my bandwidth on Photobucket. I would use imageshack or something like that, but you have to upload things individually on there, and that takes too long.

My brother just finished 6th grade. A few months ago he was "dating" a girl in his grade and our parents found out he was dating her... they turned around and made him break up with her and grounded him a bunch... it doesnt make sense to me because when they're so young all they do when they're dating is wave at each other at school and say hi and stuff... its not like they're gonna go off and have sex... besides they never would seen each other outside of school... anyways let me know what you think about this?

Due to anxiety, it has been years since I've worked, and I've been receiving disability. I'd like to know, from those of you who are supervisors, employers, and such, if you would hire an adult well past their 20's, who has not worked in years for a job which didn't require much experience if they seemed like a decent person on the interview.

Or would you be reluctant to hire them since they've been unemployed so long, and has almost little to no work experience?

I want some of those necklaces that you see in Lucky magazine that are like 200 dollars each, but I want them cheaper and somewhere close! I live in Virginia, if that helps. The kind of necklaces I'm looking for are those double necklaces, or the big circle necklaces. Get what I'm looking for?

My boyfriend and I are wanting to start having children. He's 23 and I'm 20 going on 21 in October. He's working and going to college, and I'm going to be working and probably going into night school (colege) when I can. We are talking about having a baby when we both have stable jobs. We're both excited and can't wait to have a baby, but haven't started trying. Are we doing the right thing by waiting, or are we being selfish?
