Someone had a car accident at the intersection of our cul de sac and it was raining and she was really upset and had her 5 or 6 year old in the car with her. Fortunately noone was hurt, but she was still there about an hour or so after the incident waiting for the police and so even though she had declined my initial offer of help I sent my husband out with something to drink and crackers because it was past the dinner hour. It made me feel as though I had done something kind for someone regardless of their circumstances and/or pride. My husband said she cried at the gesture. Human kindness should be expected, not come as a surprise.

I did have a moment like that. I don't feel like telling about it, because it'll ruin that "It's my little secret" feeling. Even though people don't know about it, It still felt incredibly good, because, I know that I did it, and in some small, tiny way, it made the world a better place. It sounds sort of naive, but I have the right to be at my age.

I do it all the time. I think that we all are humans and that we all will be in need of a "helping hand" act of kindness someday. It should be our goal to do an act of kindness without the need for recognition. If nobody ever helps anyone, what kind of socitey would this be? Plus, if you do an act of kindness on impulse, without the need for recogntion it could spark the person that you helped to do the same thing to someone else...and so on. Its called Pay it Forward (see the movie). Good Luck

That was a very sweet and thoughtful thing to do. I often will go out of my way to insure another's comfort, even if I don't know them. It makes me feel human, and I love to see people smile when something good is done for them. Random acts of kindness are the best!

Doing something nice for people without expecting a reward is putting out good into the world, so there are two benefits right there. And it is a pleasant feeling.

We should try to be kind to people as often as possible. All people are one anyway, so helping one is helping all.
