My husband and I are considering moving there and want to buy a house/condo for about $350K. We'd probably be working downtown area and hope to drive to work, but the subway is acceptable if traffic/parking is difficult.

We've been looking on realor.com and found some places in Congress Heights, Deanwood, Anacostia, Randle Heights... but do not know anything about crime, proximity to city and subway, cost of housing, etc.

We're looking for a nice, safe neighbor which isn't too far from the city. (Maybe 30 min commute?) Close to conveniences but also not concrete city.

Thanks!

I dont want to mess up my friendship with this girl or my friendship with my friend of almost 12 years. But I cant go on like this. It hurts so much going to sleep thinking of this girl, dreaming about her, and then waking up and the first thing I think about is her. When we are together its so hard to not just say "I love you" and when I watch her with my friend it eats me away inside. I have gotten physicly ill over this problem and its getting really bad. People tell me I will get over it, and for a little bit I thought I was. But my feelings are now stronger then ever. And knowing that I can probably never be with her, wanting to get over her, and then now loving her even more is killing me inside. What do you guy's suggest......any suggestions would be great. Thanks.......

1. What movie has absolutely no point at all, the main character loves tots, and his grandma broke her cockix while on a motorcycle at the sand dunes, and this main character's brother is dating LaFawnduh?

2. What movie involves Christian fruits and veggies singing and dancing, and one veggie gets swallowed by a big fish, and meets pirates who don't do anything?

3. One super fast vehicle gets lost and has to adapt to the slower, more rustic life style, then wants to stay in the small town anyways.

4. This movie begins with a floating feather, a man sitting on a park bench telling his life story, his wife (towards the end) dies, and he sends his kid off to school. This guy made a difference, he ran across the USA a couple times, too.

Happy thinking!

Does anybody know of good subprime lenders that pay up to 5 points on the back for a correspondent? I am signed with HSBC, Wells Fargo, Citi and Saxon... But I need a wider portfolio of lenders.

I have seen the question posted"why do you believe" and I have read many convincing and appreciated posts as to why. I believe also let's face it all works of art have an artist! I want to turn tables and ask people why they refuse to believe.

Surely it's not rocket science, it should be an open and shut thing. Oh you want a Pentacle for your husband who died in a US military operation, sure, here you go. What's the deal? They put pentacles on dogtags, why not memorials and headstones? Is there something offensive about it? I just don't get it. Should not all of our military men and women be given the same rights, alive or dead? Certainly especially dead!!

I have and it rocks. 4 selected scenes were shot in 3D. You definitely have to see in its IMAX 3D format. The movie is also a great tribute to Christopher Reeve who paved the way for the role of Superman/Clark Kent which is excellently interpreted by Brandon Routh.

Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor...all I have to say is wow ! Again, Gene Hackman paved the way...Kevin Spacey perfected the role...

It's a VW GTI..small but fast. However, I can't stand seeing behemoth cars rumbling around, wasting expensive gas, ruining the environment. But if I take my car out to the track, would that be the pot calling the kettle black???

Tuesday night/Wednesday morning I was driving home on a 2 lane road when I came upon an intersection, I had a green light and proceeded down the road. As I was coming through the intersection, I see another car going over 70 MPH from the other direction and saw that she was not going to stop at her red light. I slammed on the brakes, but we still hit and my car is totalled. I am okay - just some minor scrapes from the air bag.

I have been in 2 wrecks before (where I was driving) and a couple of arguable worse ones but this is the first one that wasn't my fault. What scares me is that I was just driving down the road and out of no where - I get into a huge wreck. The others didn't scare me as bad since they were my fault and I knew I could have prevented them. It scares me that I can just be driving down the road not doing anything wrong and this happened. Like I said, I've been in worse but this one has really shaken me up.

Any advice on how to get over this?
