While vacationing in Central Wisconsin I found a baby bird floating in the lake, about 100 yards from shore. It is NOT a water bird. I picked it up and brought it inside, wrapped it in towels and dried it off. I didn't think it'd make it, but it's doing okay. It has all of its feathers but still cannot fly. I'm feeding it a combination of wet dog food, sow bugs, moths, crickets, maggots. The thing eats anything. My question is what kind of bird is it? I'm a seasoned bird watcher but this one has confounded me. It's about 4 inches, no tail feathers, charcoal grey back, grey belly. Beak is like a starling (not yellow though, just the shape). It constantly squawks. Non-stop, only at night when he puts his head under his wing to sleep does it stop squawking. Any ornithologists out there who can help me figure out what the heck this thing is?

No funny stuff. It probably came from the Middle Ages when bows and arrows were cutting edge military equipment. The bows were often made from the wood of a YEW tree. So to PLUCK YOU meant going to battle. How the PL got changed to an F is not clear, but it's not a big stretch of the imagination to figure out how the meaning changed to what it is today. My real name is Ciel and I am the daughter of Déesse *the goddess*. I am actually about 3,923 yrs. old but I currently reside in the body of a 15 yr. old human girl as punishment for my past actions. About 300 yrs ago, I fell in love with a mortal. As many people know, it's forbidden for a goddess to love a mortal, but I still went to down to earth, pretended to be human and tried to make him fall for me. Well, fall for me he did and a month later, my brother, Enfer (who my mother later turned into a serpant), killed him. I was devastated and refused to return to the heavens. Instead, I stayed on Earth, continued pretending to be human, ended up getting very pissed off, and began my reign of terror (I had anger issues at the time). I caused a great many plagues, and many different disasters happened because of my doing. I also tried to destroy the world, but my mother brought this curse upon me first. After that, she wiped the humans memories of me. I was to live as a mortal until my lesson is truly learned. In other words: I live as a mortal, then die, and then I am reincarnated as a mortal. The only difference is that I can remember my past life as a goddess. Unfortunately for me, I always cause some sort of trouble in each of my lives. Whether it be my using magick for evil, or just starting something. I fear that I may never be able to return home.

My neice in law. Ultrasouns showed an issue with the baby's kidneys.Since then she has had test after test. No amnioctic fluid (or very little) they thought the baby was at 32 weeks but he is too small.he is at 30 weeks. waiting 4 more with complete bedrest and maybe induce then. 2 bladder taps turned out fine. third on one tuesday. The mom is on total bedrest due to the tear (they are guessing) in the sac. So many doctors so little bedside manner! They toss around terms like fetal death so casually and it just destroys the parents and the whole family. Theyve been to GBMC Univerity hosp (Baltimore) and CHOP right now they are settling at Johns Hopkins and seems to be ok. Im not sure what I am asking just blowing off a little steam its so frustrating. Potter Syndrome? Is he a dwarf? They say yes they say no. So heart wrenching
