My personal pet peeve is the vast amount of people here on this site who do not spell correctly or who do not use the correct words.

I'm venting here but the spelling errors I see every day makes me nuts. For instance, the number 4 should never be substituted for the word "for", ex. Forgive, for Mary. That applies to the number 2 also. To, too, two (2), all sound the same but mean different things and are Not interchangeable. And Plurals of words do NOT end in Z, ever. In the English language there are many words that are not spelled phonetically. In other words they are often not spelled the way they sound. How hard is it to use the "Check Spelling" button on top of every box whether you are asking a question or answering one? It’s there to make your life easier – please use it.

I know that some of you think using spelling errors makes you look unique & cool, but you are very wrong. It just makes you look young, immature and stupid. Also makes you seem uneducated & uncaring.

I have problems getting guys. I think it is because I don't have a social life and I sit in my room all day. I don't want to leave my house too much because I am a guitar geek and I prefer to keep up my guitar playing skills rather than going out in public because I lost my social skills playing guitar 8 hours a day. HELP!!

Does anyone think it rather odd that Dr Mark Sloan (Dick Van Dyke) of Diagnosis Murder seems to solve all the murders in California while working full time in a hospital? To add to this, Dr Sloan's son (Dick Van Dyke's real life one too) is a policeman and never seems to catch any criminals! Instead, he ends being hit over the head by some scoundrel and taken to the hospital where his dad works!

I know that a single flip of a coin is 50/50 odds of either heads or tails. How do you figure the mathmatical odds for CONSECUTIVE flips of the SAME outcome, either all heads OR all tails? I know that every SINGLE flip = 50/50, but what are the odds on groupings of flips producing ALL the same result? What do the odds reduce to on every flip past one of predicting the same consecutive outcome?

We recently traded in the sedan for a mid-sized SUV. But with gas prices as high as they are --and no ceiling in the foreseeable future-- we're racking our brains for ways to economize (ie: walk to the nearby convenience store, instead of drive that short distance, etc). I suspect that there's some source --a Web-site, or some such-- whereat we can find out which gas station in our area (for us, that's mid-Connecticut) has the lowest prices for that day. If anybody knows of such a venue, I'd really be appreciative if they could send the info my way.
