i love the band morningwood but there is one line in the song jetsetter that i don't understand.

"I'm ennui and in my cups"

i know what ennui means "Listlessness and dissatisfaction resulting from lack of interest"

but i just don't know what she means by ennui and in my cups

thanks for any help

"in my cups" generally means really down and "ennui" means having no interest in anything, dispassionate.

I'm bored and drinking...

Or that's what the line means. ;)

"In my cups" has always meant being drunk or tipsy. So she is saying that she is morose.
