We recently traded in the sedan for a mid-sized SUV. But with gas prices as high as they are --and no ceiling in the foreseeable future-- we're racking our brains for ways to economize (ie: walk to the nearby convenience store, instead of drive that short distance, etc). I suspect that there's some source --a Web-site, or some such-- whereat we can find out which gas station in our area (for us, that's mid-Connecticut) has the lowest prices for that day. If anybody knows of such a venue, I'd really be appreciative if they could send the info my way.

In our town, there was always one gas station that changed it's prices a little later than the rest, so if the prices went up, we knew we could go there to get gas.

Also, it may just be 'cause it's a college town, but the prices always seem to go up toward the weekend, so Tuesday or Wednesday tend to be the cheapest days.

In addition, the side of town with the lower incomes seems to have cheaper gas.
