From CNN: "In a 256-153 vote, the GOP-led House approved a nonbinding resolution that praises U.S. troops, labels the Iraq war part of the larger global fight against terrorism and says an "arbitrary date for the withdrawal or redeployment" of troops is not in the national interest."

Congress passes countless "resolutions" that do absolutely nothing. They are not laws and are not enforced. They are basically just making a public statement to express their views about certain topics. That's what the election campaign is for!

I don't think there is anything patriotic about attending a game or other event and the current trend of having a celebrity butcher the anthem is definetly unpatriotic.

I've seen it a million times: a woman wearing a low-cut blouse, sweater, dress or even t-shirt, or a short skirt or short shorts that shows off every inch of their legs, or jeans so tight you can read the date on a dime in their back pocket. So why do SOME (not all) women get offended and huffy and consider a man a "pervert" when he checks them out when they walk by, or looks at them for longer than a minute in a bar or the bus? Obviously the outfit is meant to accentuate, enhance or even reveal that aspect of their body. Yes, it could also be because it's hot outside, but c'mon, the open cleavage is going to make you that much cooler? And I understand the difference between a guy looking and a guy STARING, but what do you really expect? As I said, this is SOME women, not all. But I always wanted to know why wear it if you hate the stares.
