Thanks "SINGH" for the link but I've seen in already. There's not much else that shows up on the internet so I'm wondering if anyone else would know this by personal experience. It could possibly be a character from a children's story told around the 1950-1960s.

There is a chicken that's REALLY ugly. I can't remember what it's called but it is rather large, with a very long naked neck. I've only seen one; a fartmer friend had it. I think they called it a turkin because it really did look like a cross between a chicken and a turkey, but with the long neck maybe it could have been what you are looking for?
