“A girl got a pet goat. She liked to go running with her pet goat. She played with her goat in her house. She played with her goat in her yard. But the goat did some things that made the girl's dad mad. The goat ate things. He ate cans and he ate canes. He ate pans and he ate panes. He even ate capes and caps. One day her dad said, "that goat must go. He ate too many things." The girl said, "dad if you let the goat stay with us, I will see that he stops eating all those things." Her dad said he will try it. So the goat stayed and the girl made him stop eating cans and capes and caps and capes. But one day a car robber came to the girls house. He saw a big red car near the house and said, "I will steal that car." He ran to the car and started to open the door. The girl and the goat were playing in the back yard. They did not see the car robber......

i am a very strong christian and love GOD. But yesterday i got told i am a hipocrite coz i love dancing and going out. She said i am not a true believer. Why do people think believing in Christ means u have to stay at home.?

I have heard of people that disagree with abortion but say that they do not want to adopt children, they only want kids with their DNA. Where do they think all these unwanted children will go? There are thousands and thousands of children (many older children) all over the world needing loving families yet they will not adopt them. They ignorantly think their DNA is better then the other kids DNA, yet they are equally God's children. Not saying anything about the issues around abortion (because there are many) the question is about why they don't adopt. Should they? Should they not because then more people might be raised like them? Do you think who had the child is more important then the child? I support adoption (and the woman's right to choose even though I would choose life) and this question has been bugging me.

Here's mine:
I took a transsexual into my local neighborhood (Cheers type) bar on the way back from a more tolerant nightclub because we were hungry & nothing else was open & I knew they sold slices of pizza. Everyone in the bar knew me alot of them were neighbors. The two of us were worst than completely shitfaced. We ordered a round of beer & a couple slices of pizza & then she starts dry-humping me right there on the bar stool while everyone stared at us (they all looked horrified). The bartender asked us to leave as soon as we got our pizza (he was literally shaking!). This was 5 years ago... I've never been back in there since.
-If you beat this story, then you are the winner! I'll leave this open for a couple days.

Have we become numb to the plights of others because of the media? Are humans (in general) less sympathetic to other humans? What about comparing developing nations to developed nations? Are 'western' citizens more cynical and pessimistic?

Personally, I've lived in small towns where neighbors are close and willing to help out each other. I've lived in cities like like S.F. and N.Y. where well dressed people step over the homeless like they're garbage..It seems to me that everything is a little more cut throat in larger cities, why is that?
